United Health Services (UHS) Cytopathology at UHS Wilson Medical Center seeks a Cytotechnologist to process, screen, and evaluate cytological specimens from all body sites for malignancy and infections. The role follows NYS DOH, CDC, and UHS policies with timely result delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Cytopathology or equivalent (Grandfathered NYS Licensed Cytotechnologist).
• ASCP Specialty Certification is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Process, screen, and evaluate cytological specimens from all body sites for abnormal changes and pre-malignant or malignant disease and infectious diseases.
• Maintain timely turnaround in accordance with United Health Services policies and NYS Department of Health and CDC guidelines.
• Adhere to laboratory and infection control protocols.

Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Laboratory Medical Director and Cytology Supervisor, processes, screens, and evaluates cytological specimens from all body sites for abnormal changes and pre-malignant or malignant disease and infectious diseases in a timely manner according to United Health Services Laboratory, Departmental, and New York State Department of Health, United Health Servies Infection Control, and CDC policies and procedures.

$37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

Minimum Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Cytopathology or equivalent. (Grandfathered NYS Licensed Cytotechnologist).

Preferred

• Previous general Cytotechnologist laboratory experience.

License/Certification

Minimum Required

• NYS Licensed Cytotechnologist
