Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology required.
• 2–3 years of cytotechnologist experience required.
• Ability to screen gynecological and non-gynecological cytology cases accurately and timely.
• Must understand regulatory guidelines for screening limits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens for analysis by appropriate methods.
• Maintain chain of custody and verify identifiers.
• Sign out negative GYN slides and refer others to a pathologist as needed.
• Evaluate Gyn and Non-Gyn cytology cells and categorize results.
• Perform HPV testing, Immunocytochemistry and other molecular techniques as required.
• Participate in departmental rotations and clerical duties as needed.
