Job summary

Trinity Health Hospital Campus & Medical District in Minot, ND is seeking a Cytology–Histology Prep Tech to accession and process specimens, stain cytology slides, and manage related clerical tasks. The role supports both cytology and histology services in a regulated lab environment.

The position requires attention to detail, ability to multitask, and comfort with infection control and safety protocols. High School diploma preferred; experience is a plus; computer skills required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience preferred but not required.
• Computer experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Accession and label all specimen types per lab protocols.
• Process and stain non-gynecologic cytology specimens with proper handling and documentation.
• Perform office/clerical duties: send/receive cases, file slides, track communications, maintain logs.
• Enter and manage HPV co-test and reflex test orders with standing orders and accurate lab-system docs.
• Answer calls, assist clinicians and staff, and help coordinate case flow.
• Support cytology and histology workflows with documentation, specimen tracking, and QA functions.
