Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC seeks an academically oriented Cytogenomics Laboratory Medical Director to lead the cytogenomics program, oversee karyotyping, FISH, microarray, and molecular testing, and advance patient care and teaching.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with ABMGG certification in Cytogenetics and/or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics
• Eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina
• Practical experience in Cytogenetics/FISH/Microarray and NGS

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cytogenomics Laboratory ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results
• Foster collaborations with clinicians and researchers
• Mentor pathology residents, fellows, and technologists
• Engage in clinical and/or translational research endeavors
