Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a life science; working knowledge of cell biology, cytogenetics, and lab skills.
• Manual dexterity and sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Establish cells in culture for chromosomal analysis.
• Score cells for micronuclei and copy number using cytogenetic methods including FISH.
• Analyze chromosome number and structure.
• Isolate DNA and analyze DNA marker patterns.
• Prepare aliquots for shipment to collaborators.
• Track inventory and order reagents.
• Maintain lab equipment.
