Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field.
• Licensed as Florida Medical Technologist.
• Experience: minimum 2 years in related lab work.
• Knowledge of quality-control and instrument maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Verifies specimen identity and prepares specimens for testing.
• Analyzes results and refers data to pathologists for evaluation.
• Calibrates equipment and maintains inventory.
• Recognizes inconsistencies and assists in problem resolution.
• Administers quality-control tests and records data.
• Assists with orienting and training staff on lab techniques.
• Adheres to policies and safeguards university assets.
