Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a cytogenetics professional to join the ProPath Services team in Dallas, TX. You will perform cell culture, slide preparation, karyotype analysis, and FISH on cytogenetic samples.

Required to have a BS in Medical Technology or related field with MT training and ASCP certification; strong analytical skills are essential. In this role you’ll access PHI with training and ensure confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or related field with MT training.
• Certification by the ASCP or equivalent.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate routine lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Culture cells using appropriate media and techniques.
• Harvest cell cultures using standard methods.
• Prepare microscopic slides with routine and banding techniques.
• Analyze chromosome preparations microscopically.
• Prepare several karyotypes per case.
• Perform and analyze FISH on cytogenetic samples.
