Sentara Health is hiring a Cytogenetic Scientist for the on-site Cytogenetics Lab in Virginia Beach, VA. The role is full-time day shift (6a-2:30p) with a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include performing tests, interpreting and reporting results, and maintaining lab equipment. Requires a Bachelor's degree and ASCP-CG certification; cytogenetics experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required for Cytogenetic Scientist.
• ASCP-CG certification required.
• Experience in cytogenetics preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform laboratory tests in the Cytogenetics Lab and interpret results.
• Document and report results clearly and accurately.
• Maintain department equipment, instruments, and tools.
• Demonstrate critical thinking when analyzing chromosome disorders.
