Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Cytogenetic Technologist I to join our team. The role features a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and a pay range based on experience.

Responsibilities include tissue culture, microscopic and molecular cytogenetics work, with strict QC and documentation. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Science and preferably ASCP Cytogenetics certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science required.
• ASCP Cytogenetics certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and LIS.

Responsabilités

• Perform tissue culture initiation, maintenance, harvest, slide prep and staining if assigned.
• Conduct microscopic and post-microscopic analysis, including karyotype preparation.
• Perform FISH or array analyses with proper QC and record-keeping.
• Process fluorescence in situ hybridization with slide prep, pretreatment, hybridization, washes and counterstain.
• Document tissue culture and microscopy records accurately and completely.
• Record ISCN chromosomal abnormalities with accurate breakpoints.
