Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. seeks a Cytogenetics Technician to perform culture initiation, harvest, slide prep, and G-banding on bone marrow and peripheral blood samples in our Florida lab.

This role also handles automated FISH analysis and QA/QC duties. The ideal candidate will have a biology/chemistry/molecular background, ASCP certification, and Florida licensure, with familiarity in ASI Genesis and MetaSystems software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Molecular or related field.
• CG(ASCP) certification required.
• State of Florida license for clinical laboratory work is required.
• Experience in a clinical cytogenetics setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform culture initiation, harvest, slide preparation and G-banding.
• Analyze metaphase spreads and FISH results using automated systems.
• Maintain QC/QA, document procedures and ensure safety/compliance.
