US Army at Fort Myer, VA seeks a Child and Youth Services Tech Lab supervisor to operate the technology lab, plan activities for participants, and supervise youth with safe, engaging learning experiences.

Responsible for the operation of the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Technology Lab in accordance with applicable regulations.
Plans, coordinates, and conducts activities for program participants.
Creates a positive environment in CYS Technology Lab that includes appropriate materials and supplies to supplement computer software programs and Internet access.
Provides supervision, oversight, and accountability for program participants.
Ensures computer, peripherals, and software are maintained in good condition and working order.
Troubleshoots CYS hardware, printers, scanners, servers and software.
Interacts with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques.
Promotes and role models safety, fitness, health and nutrition practices.
Trains children/youth in use of equipment and software programs.
Ensures assigned area achieves and maintains standards for DoD/Army certification and national accreditation or Army equivalent.
Certifications and education proof must be supplied at time of application.
Area of Consideration: This job is open to candidates who live in the local commuting area (60-mile radius) of Fort Myer, VA. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
