Job summary

China Lake Golf Course seeks a dedicated training lead to oversee DoD certification efforts and to design and coordinate comprehensive training for Navy CYP staff serving children and youth at Naval Air Station Lemoore. The role requires coordinating education plans, maintaining compliance with safety rules, and tracking training progress across the team.

The position involves collaboration with CYP Directors, training program development, and supporting staff through higher education avenues

Responsibilities

• Serves as a lead participant in achieving and maintaining DoD certification and national accreditation or equivalent.
• Develops, coordinates, and delivers a comprehensive training program for CYP staff working with children and youth at Navy programs.
• Identifies ongoing training needs and tailors training plans to learners.
• Coordinates with CYP Directors to establish training plans and ensure required learning opportunities are scheduled.
• Works with CY Program Assistants to ensure DoD courses are completed and competencies documented.
• Provides training to CYP employees to ensure classroom and activity area compliance with fire, safety, and sanitation rules.
• Maintains training records and development plans; prepares status reports and informs Directors of training status.
• Develops programs encouraging continuing higher education, including CDA or MSA credential guidance and tuition assistance information.
• Develops relationships with local colleges/universities and advises on professional development.
• Assists FCC Director and monitors with training supports and accreditation efforts.
