Job summary

Joint Region Marianas Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a CYP Training & Certification Specialist to lead staff training, monitor developmentally appropriate curricula for ages 6 weeks to 18 years, and promote career and education opportunities for professional growth within Navy CYP programs on Guam.

You will develop and deliver a comprehensive training program, ensure DoD certification and accreditation, and partner with CYP Directors to support continuing education and credentials for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education and three years of full-time experience working with children and/or youth.
• Knowledge of early childhood or youth education principles, concepts, and techniques to develop, interpret, monitor and evaluate the execution of curriculum and age-appropriate activities.
• Knowledge of adult learning techniques and experience training adult learners.
• Knowledge of Federal and State laws governing the detection and prevention of child abuse and/or neglect.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, and delivers a comprehensive training program for CYP staff, expanding knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies.
• Identifies ongoing training needs by evaluating individuals' strengths and challenges and tailors training plans.
• Coordinates with CYP Directors to establish training plans for required learning opportunities and resources to support career progression.
• Provides training to CYP employees to ensure classroom and activity area compliance with safety and sanitation rules.
