Job summary

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in Crewe seeks a Band 5 Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP/CYPWP) to join the East Cheshire MHST. You will work with schools and settings, delivering information, guidance, and direct work with children, young people and families, using evidence-based Low Intensity CBT.

Registration with a recognised National Body (BPS/BABCP) or a plan to obtain it within 6 months is required; a 6-month fixed-term contract may apply if registration is

Qualifications

• Registration with a recognised National Body (BPS, BABCP) or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.
• For those without registration, appointment on a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential conversion to permanent on confirmation of registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and intervention work within East Cheshire MHST under clinical supervision.
• Deliver 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT-based interventions for children, young people and parents/carers.
• Engage with schools, colleges and settings to provide information, guidance and training.
• Contribute to evaluation of initiatives to ensure service effectiveness, ethics and safety.
• Build positive relationships with schools and partner agencies.
