Position Summary

Steel Forgings Inc. (SFI) is a leading manufacturer of custom butt weld fittings servicing the oil and gas industry for over 70 years. SFI is seeking a Cylinder Shop Assistant to perform various duties in our cylinder/pipe department.

Duties and Requirements

• Read a tape measure
• Use a cutting torch
• Read a blueprint
• Stamp a heat code on cylinders
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and take ownership of duties
• Forklift operation skills
• Team-oriented attitude
• Punctuality and reliability
• Willingness to learn new skills

Physical Requirements

• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, and climbing
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Perform duties while wearing PPE
• Work in hot and dusty environments
