Job summary

Manchester Tank is seeking an inspection technician in Quincy, IL to read blueprints and product specs, inspect cylinders for defects, and operate production equipment to ensure quality aligns with specifications.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints, schedules, or product specifications to determine procedures for testing.
• Inspects cylinders for visual defects.
• Tests cylinders for structural defects.
• Follows all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
• Place and remove fittings from cylinders following appropriate protocol.
• Reject defective parts and mark defects accordingly.
• Set up and operate machines according to the specifications.
• Monitor finished products to ensure quality conforms to specifications.
• Shut down process if unsafe and follow proper shutdown procedures.
