Job summary

Manchester Tank is hiring for a welding production role in Quincy, IL. You will supervise and guide a team to maintain continuous production of conforming parts, while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will train staff, operate welding equipment, read blueprints, and contribute to process improvements with attention to EHS guidelines. Starting wage is $26.14/hour, with benefits and job security as core values.

Qualifications

• 3G weld certification or ability to pass weld test.
• Set-up and operate machines and welding equipment.
• Blue print and weld detail knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Direct workers to ensure continuous production of conforming product in the safest, most efficient way.
• Train employees, plan, assign and direct work, address complaints and resolve issues.
• Assist with production tasks as needed.
• Operate lifting devices as required.
• Seek opportunities to improve safety, environment, and processes.
• Follow all EHS guidelines and procedures.
• Read and follow Job Safety Analysis and EHS Work Instructions.
• Report unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
• Shut down process if unsafe and follow shutdown procedures.
• Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
