Job summary

Gateway Cylinder Technologies, a CK Supply subsidiary in Highland, IL, is seeking a Cylinder Tester responsible for identifying, sorting, and inspecting gas cylinders to ensure DOT compliance and refurbishment standards. The role involves operating forklifts and pallet jacks, following safety rules, and lifting heavy loads while meeting tight deadlines.

Ideal candidates will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently within a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate and use equipment and machines.
• Proficient in computer usage.

Responsibilities

• Identify, sort and inspect cylinders in accordance with established company and DOT standards.
• Follow all Safety Rules and Guidelines.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Comply with all DOT regulations pertaining to cylinder recertification and refurbishment.
• Perform work during prolonged standing up to 10 hours or more per shift.
• Routinely lift 25-50 pounds and occasionally lift 50 to greater than 75 pounds.
• Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Vision correctable to within normal range for reading, analyzing/preparing reports.
• Self-starter who is able to work independently while also working with the team to meet and exceed shared goals.
• Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and requirements including proper personal protective equipment for employees and visitors.
• Adhere to the CK Core Values through behavior and words.
• Other duties, as assigned, within the job classification and business.
