Job summary

Linde plc in Richmond, VA seeks a reliable cylinder handler to process gas cylinders per guidelines, perform inspections, and manage inventory. You will load/unload trucks, operate scales, and keep accurate records while following quality procedures.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 1+ year plant experience; a solid mechanical background and strong communication are beneficial for teamwork and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience in plant/manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process gas cylinders per established plant guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct inspections to determine need for retesting or repairs via visual, physical, and odor tests before filling.
• Check cylinder quantities, styles and product; fill as needed; load/unload weekly shuttle truck.
• Operate and maintain cylinder scales and related equipment.
• Prepare warehouse transfer orders and paperwork; enter quantities/styles/products into the system.
• Complete quality documentation and operate forklift and other plant vehicles.

What you will enjoy doing*

• Thisrole requires you to process medical and industrial gas cylinders usingestablished plant guidelines and procedures
• You will conduct cylinderinspections to determine need for retesting or repairs through visual,physical, and odor tests before filling
• Check for cylinder quantities,styles and product, and fill any necessary product. Load and unload productfrom weekly shuttle truck
• Operate and maintain cylinder scales andassociated equipment
• Further, you will prepare warehouse transfer orders and accompanying paperworkfor shipment and keys into the computer the quantities, styles and productsfilled in order to justify the stock inventory
• Complete and maintain qualitycontrol documentation as per company and Governmental procedures, and operatea forklift truck and other plant vehicles

Pay Range: $21.63-$31.73
