Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Columbia, SC is seeking a Cylinder Processor on 1st Shift. The role processes medical and industrial gas cylinders according to plant guidelines, performs inspections, fills products, and loads/unloads shipments.

You will operate scales and forklift, prepare transfer orders, maintain quality records, and support stock inventory. Requirements include a high school diploma and 1+ year manufacturing experience; strong mechanical skills and good leadership,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
1+ year experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical background is desired.
Good leadership, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Process medical and industrial gas cylinders following plant guidelines and procedures.
Perform cylinder inspections for retesting or repairs via visual, physical, and odor tests before filling.
Check cylinder quantities, styles and product; fill as needed and load/unload for weekly shuttle.
Operate and maintain cylinder scales and related equipment.
Prepare warehouse transfer orders and paperwork; input quantities and products into the system.
Complete quality control documentation and operate forklift and other plant vehicles.
