Job Description

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Cylinder Prepper - Loader to join our team in Jessup, MD. The role involves counting, examining cylinders for defects, preparing them for filling, and loading/unloading onto trucks.

• Pay range: $22.91 - $30.55 hourly (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities (2nd shift)

• Follow all safety policies including PPE, lifting techniques, and site safety requirements.
• Understand GMPs and quality control practices.
• Count incoming cylinders and verify lot numbers.
• Load and unload trucks daily.
• Inspect returned cylinders for defects and handle them according to safety procedures.
• Recognize and separate defective cylinders.
• Inspect fill manifold operation.
• Document calibration and maintenance of equipment.
• Clean cylinders and replace labels as needed.
• Operate forklift safely for loading, unloading, and stock movement.
• Receive and inspect incoming goods, check against purchase orders.
• Connect cylinders to manifolds, draw residual gases, and evacuate cylinders.
• Fill cylinders per guidelines, weigh, and record.
• Test for leaks and document results.
• Maintain equipment and records in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform mathematical calculations as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer skills
• Motivated with high energy
• Forklift training/experience preferred
• Ability to read DOT and FDA paperwork
• Ability to work independently under deadlines
• Flexibility to meet changing demands
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various temperatures
• Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and repetitive motions
