Cylinder Prepper- Loader
Location: Jessup, MD

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Cylinder Prepper - Loader to join our team. The Cylinder Prepper-Loader is responsible for counting, examining cylinders for defects, preparing them for filling, and loading/unloading onto trucks.

• Pay range: $22.91 - $30.55 hourly (based on experience)

Responsibilities (2nd shift):

• Follow all safety policies, including PPE, lifting techniques, and site-specific safety requirements.
• Understand GMPs and Quality Control practices.
• Count and verify incoming cylinders.
• Load/unload trucks daily.
• Inspect cylinders for surface defects and transport to designated areas.
• Recognize defective cylinders and segregate them appropriately.
• Inspect fill manifold operation before filling cylinders.
• Report system issues to management.
• Calibrate and document thermometer, gauge, and analytical equipment.
• Clean cylinders and remove old labels.
• Operate forklift safely for loading/unloading and stock movement.
• Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspect valves and connect cylinders to manifolds.
• Ensure labels are legible and compliant; replace if damaged.
• Fill cylinders according to guidelines, recording weights.
• Test for leaks and document results.
• Operate and maintain gas pumping/repackaging equipment.
• Maintain cylinders and equipment, removing any needing repair from service.
• Ensure accurate filling records and compliance with regulations.
• Perform general housekeeping and mathematical calculations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer skills
• Motivated, energetic, and able to work independently
• Forklift training/experience preferred
• Ability to read DOT and FDA paperwork
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver weights up to 100 lbs
• Work outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions
• Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and repetitive motions
