Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a cylinder maintenance technician to inspect and prepare cylinders for retesting, perform conversions, and operate specialized testers.

You will manage forklift movements and participate in safety and cleaning tasks to ensure a compliant, efficient work environment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience in gas/cylinder maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and physical inspections on cylinders before filling.
• Conduct cylinder conversions including de-valving, valving, stripping and repair.
• Operate hydrostatic and ultrasonic cylinder testers.
• Maintain required certifications to certify cylinders as retested.
• Operate a forklift to support material handling of cylinders.
• Receive cylinders, valves and maintenance supplies; diagnose and repair neck leaks.
• Inspect and identify defective cylinders and scrap as appropriate.
• Paint, clean and perform light maintenance to keep the area safe.

What you will enjoy doing*

• Thisrole will require you to perform visual and physical inspections on cylindersbefore filling to determine whether retesting or repairs are required
• You will conduct cylinder conversions, including de-valving, valving,stripping, and repairing valves
• Operate hydrostatic and ultrasonic cylinder testers
• Maintain required certifications to properly certify cylinders asretested
• Operate a forklift to supportmaterial handling and movement of cylinders
• Receive incoming cylinders, valves, and cylinder maintenance supplies;diagnose and repair cylinder neck leaks and safety-related leaks
• You will nspect and identify defective cylinders, scrapping cylinders whenappropriate
• Responsible for performing painting, housekeeping, and light plantmaintenance tasks to maintain a clen and safe work environment

Pay Range: $21.00-$24 per hour, depending on experience.
