Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Production Operator I (Loader/Sorter) in Grand Prairie, TX on the 1st shift. The role involves safe handling of high-pressure cylinders, loading and unloading onto trucks, and preparing outbound shipments in compliance with Airgas safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Ability to read and understand written and computer-generated documentation.
• Capable of performing heavy work, lifting 25–75 lbs regularly and up to 100+ lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload high-pressure cylinders onto/off trucks following safety procedures.
• Prepare outbound shipments for delivery, verify inventory, and inspect pallets and straps.
• Organize cylinders by size and gas group to optimize loading.
• Maintain safe work area and understand hazards related to gases and cylinder contents.
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
