Salary Range: $112,700.00 - $123,800.00

Position Summary

Operates a cyclotron on a daily basis and provides hands-on assistance on problems relevant to the overall operation and maintenance at the Citigroup Biomedical Imaging Center.

This position reports to the Chief Radiochemist or a designate on the radiochemistry team regarding daily operations of the cyclotron including scheduling, and to the Imaging Center Director or a designate regarding physics and engineering issues related to the cyclotron.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serves as cyclotron operator on a daily basis for production of radioisotopes used in human and pre-clinical studies of disease at the Citigroup Biomedical Imaging Center.
  • In collaboration with the operations staff, assists in the routine and preventive maintenance of the cyclotron.
  • Assists in the preparation of documentation pursuant to regulatory requirements governing cyclotron operations.
  • In collaboration with operations staff and support from the cyclotron vendor, assists in any modifications and replacement of parts necessary for reliable cyclotron operations.
  • Maintains daily log of operations and/or maintenance of cyclotron radionuclide preparations.
  • Coordinates with the radiochemistry team and Imaging Center administrator on a daily basis to ensure proper scheduling of production runs in support of research.
  • Maintains an inventory of parts and spare parts for the cyclotron.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree
Experience

3-5 Years Experience In Cyclotron Operation Preferred.
