Valparaiso Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Group Ex Instructor for Pedaling for Parkinson's Cyclist. You will lead energizing group classes, welcome participants of all levels, and adjust activities to meet varied health and cultural needs.

The role focuses on community building and safe, inclusive wellness experiences. Responsibilities include engaging with members, staying current on wellness trends, and promoting YMCA values.

Formación

• CPR and AED certifications required; national group fitness certification within 90 days.
• Certification in formats taught (or equivalent experience).
• Internal training completed within 45 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Lead energizing, safe, and educational group classes as directed to meet YMCA goals.
• Answer questions from participants to support health and well‑being goals.
• Maintain knowledge of wellness trends to provide effective information.
• Build authentic relationships with members and help connect participants with the YMCA.
• Observe and adjust classes to support varying abilities and health conditions.
• Celebrate participant progress and milestones in health and skill development.
• Follow YMCA policies; respond to emergencies and obtain required training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
