Job summary

Carbon Valley Parks & Recreation District is seeking a part-time Fitness Instructor specialized in cycling. Under the supervision of the Fitness and Wellness Supervisor, you will plan and lead group cycling classes, ensuring safety and proper use of equipment and class structure for diverse participants.

Ideal candidates hold CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 60 days and have a recognized group fitness certification (Schwinn®, NETA, ISSA, Spinning® or similar).

Qualifications

• Must hold CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 60 days of hire.
• Must have a group fitness/exercise certification from Schwinn®, NETA, ISSA, Spinning® or similar.
• Must be certified to teach specific formats.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and lead group fitness classes under supervision.
• Maintain safe, engaging, and innovative fitness sessions.
• Maintain up-to-date certifications and renewals.
• Educate members about class options and equipment usage.
• Ensure policies and safety procedures are followed.
