Job summary

Emerson in Olive Branch, MS is seeking an Inventory Control Cycle Counter to join the warehouse operations team. You will safely manage materials, perform cycle counts, assist Returns, and handle light assembly, re-pack, replenishments, and operate order selectors and reach trucks.

First shift 6:00am to 2:30pm. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain inventory accuracy, and support audits, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and/or order selectors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain onsite certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze inventory discrepancies and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through research and root cause analysis.
• Maintain schedules for material requirements and availability to support production and distribution activities.
• Compile and maintain records concerning quantities, costs, and types of materials received, shipped, stored, and in production.
• Monitor inventory transactions and ensure inventory movements are accurately reflected in warehouse management systems.
• Expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
• Assist in identifying potential and actual material shortages and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Production, and Engineering teams to resolve inventory-related issues and improve inventory accuracy.
• Estimate and track production rates and time expenditures as needed to support operational requirements.
• Support inventory audits and physical inventory activities.
