Job summary

VALICY in Ayden, NC is seeking a Warehouse Associate (Cycle Counter) to maintain accurate inventory through regular cycle counts, receipts, shipments, and inventory analysis. You will work under the Inventory Lead to ensure items are properly identified and accessible.

Responsibilities include overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution, counting physical inventory, reconciling with data systems, and maintaining warehouse layout and records.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic Excel knowledge.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Understand company Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV.
• Oversee receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.
• Overall responsibility for inventory management: incoming, outgoing, and projections.
• Execute daily inventory analysis; identify and resolve discrepancies and problems.
• Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconcile with data storage systems.
• Implement operational policies and procedures and oversee security operations.
• Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
• Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of warehouse activities.
• Maintain physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Communicate with the Purchasing Department as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
• Assist with deliveries where required.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of condition and location of fleet vehicles.
