Job summary

Carter’s Inc. in Stockbridge, GA, is seeking a Cycle Counter to support accurate inventory and timely order processing at the Stockbridge Distribution Center.

The role covers 75% daily operations (cycle counts across Ecommerce, Wholesale and Retail) and 25% support functions, with responsibilities including locating stock, upholding safety and C-TPAT standards, and assisting with training and wave planning.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass lift truck certification and operate order picker or reach truck.
• Basic WMOS knowledge and scanner task familiarity are required.

How You’ll Make An Impact

The Cycle Counter is responsible for performing cycle counts to ensure inventory management and the timely processing of customer orders.

This role typical reports into the Operations Supervisor and is based in our Stockbridge Distribution Center.

75%: Daily Operations

• Perform Cycle Counts in Reserve to include (Ecommerce, Wholesale and Retail Divisions)
• Research previous locations, locate hot stock for waving purposes and complete tasks.
• Responsible for observing housekeeping, safety and C-TPAT compliance in assigned area of responsibility; Stay within compliance of the company policies regarding safety.
• Work with Wave Planning and Training to ensure the adherence of area processes.

25%: Support Functions

• Perform other tasks as assigned, including pulling during low volume periods.
• Support the Coordinator/Supervisor in all duties as assigned including all operational areas of the Distribution Center

Must Have

We’d Love to hear from you if:

• You will operate an order picker or reach truck for most of your shift, so you must be able to pass the lift driver and safety certification.
• Basic knowledge of WMOS, including scanner tasks and functions.
• Team player willing to perform various job duties to support the department and the facility objectives and key performance indicators.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds repetitively, scan with RF equipment, bend, twist, and be on your feet for shifts up to 12 hours long.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others (Supervisors, Managers, and peers).
• Flexibility to work overtime and comply with blackout periods (no vacation or personal time allowed) during peak periods.

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Efficiently handle tasks to include cycle counting and stock movement.
• 1-2 years’ experience operating equipment in an automated, fast-paced distribution environment preferred.
