Job summary

Cooper Standard Automotive seeks a Cycle Counter to ensure inventory accuracy and support material flow on the manufacturing floor. You will perform counts, investigate variances, maintain records, and assist with new product launches to help keep production running smoothly.

The role starts as a contingent assignment via staffing partners, with conversion to permanent employment after 4–6 months and a raise to 20.28/hour on conversion. Benefits accrue after conversion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification and safely operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliations.
• Compare physical inventory to system records and investigate discrepancies.
• Research and help resolve inventory variances and material issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
• Complete inventory transactions and system updates.
• Communicate inventory concerns and count results to departments.
• Assist with inventory prep for new product launches.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Provide backup support for shipping, receiving, and material handling.
• Maintain housekeeping, safety, and inventory control standards.
