Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Cycle Counter for the 2nd shift at our North East, MD distribution center. You will perform daily, weekly, and quarterly cycle counts, researching and reconciling variances while using RF guns and PIT equipment to ensure precise inventory levels.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years in a distribution center. Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with warehouse management systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of distribution center experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems preferred.
• Experience in cycle counting highly desirable.
• Ability to count accurately and convert counts to bottles or cases.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Compile items to be counted and complete physical inventories, cycle counts, random or receipt audits, and reconciliations.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies; research variances in usage and cost, and determine if corrective action is needed.
• Perform inventory transactions in the appropriate software.
• Operate order pickers and PIT equipment; use RF guns to count and investigate variances.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in continuous process improvements.
