Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Cycle Counter for the 2nd shift at our North East, MD distribution center. You will perform daily, weekly, and quarterly cycle counts, researching and reconciling variances while using RF guns and PIT equipment to ensure precise inventory levels.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years in a distribution center. Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with warehouse management systems are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compile items to be counted and complete physical inventories, cycle counts, random or receipt audits, and reconciliations.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies; research variances in usage and cost, and determine if corrective action is needed.
• Perform inventory transactions in the appropriate software.
• Operate order pickers and PIT equipment; use RF guns to count and investigate variances.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in continuous process improvements.

Completes physical inventories, cycle counts, random or receipt audits, and reconciliations on a daily, monthly or quarterly basis.* Resolves inventory issues in a timely manner. Researches inventory discrepancies, including variances in usage and cost.
