Job summary

SMP Automotive System Alabama Inc. is seeking a Cycle Counter for the 1st shift in Cottondale, AL. You will perform regular cycle counts, identify discrepancies, and reconcile variances following approved policies to ensure inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, experience in automotive manufacturing, and strong attention to detail. SAP experience and knowledge of 5S, OSHA, and safety programs are valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cycle counts.
• Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
• Maintain product identification, location, and lot code accuracy.
• Research inventory discrepancies.
• Work with Inventory Control Coordinator in Holland to resolve inventory problems.
• Open containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand.
• Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products.
• Strive for 100% on time delivery while maintaining picking accuracy of customer orders.
• Accurately pick, pack & ship customer orders.
• Assist with other duties as required.

We are looking for a talented Cycle Counterto join our growing team. You will be responsible to perform regular counts to identify possible discrepancies in inventory quantities and reconcile discovered variances according to the approved policies and procedures. This team member will be accountable for accuracy, control, monitoring and coordination in order to confirm inventory & investigate count discrepancies and be required to perform other duties as needed.
