Job summary

The Cycle Counter Clerk at UFP Grandview, LLC is responsible for tracking inventory of lumber materials, identifying root causes of inventory discrepancies, and accurately recording counts in the accounting system.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of inventory internal controls and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Counts and tracks physical inventory and maintains accurate records.
• Records inventory counts in the accounting system and tracks frequency of counts.
• Communicates variances or discrepancies to management promptly.
• Investigates discrepancies and documents any corrections made.
• Ensures data in the system reflects accurate information and supports internal controls.
• Prepares reports and correspondence related to inventory activity.
• Performs other duties as required by the department and supervisor.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Counts and tracks physical inventory
• Maintains accurate records of counts and frequency of counts
• Communicates any variances or inventory discrepancies to management
• Records inventory counts in the accounting system
• Investigates any inventory discrepancies and document any corrections
• Ensures accuracy of the information in the system and compliance with internal controls
• Prepares various reports and correspondence as required
• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Minimum one year of experience in inventory control or related area
• Working knowledge of inventory internal controls, and company procedures
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
• Basic knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades and species
• Preferred understanding of company policies, practices and procedures
• Must be at least 18 years of age
