Job summary

UFP Industries in Kentucky is seeking a Cycle Counter to track inventory of materials, count physical stock, and document discrepancies in the system.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math skills for lumber materials, and proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook. You will work to maintain internal controls, prepare reports, and support inventory accuracy across operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in inventory control or related area.
• Working knowledge of inventory internal controls and company procedures.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Basic knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades and species.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Counts and tracks physical inventory.
• Maintains accurate records of counts and frequency of counts.
• Communicates variances or inventory discrepancies to management.
• Records inventory counts in the accounting system.
• Investigates discrepancies and documents corrections.
• Ensures accuracy of information in the system and internal controls.
• Prepares various reports and correspondence as required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Counts and tracks physical inventory
• Maintains accurate records of counts and frequency of counts
• Communicates any variances or inventory discrepancies to management
• Records inventory counts in the accounting system
• Investigates any inventory discrepancies and document any corrections
• Ensures accuracy of the information in the system and compliance with internal controls
• Prepares various reports and correspondence as required
• Performs other duties as required
