Job summary

Vanguard Conversion and Fulfillment, a GroupeSTAHL company, is hiring a Cycle Counter to maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits. You will verify stock, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to optimize inventory accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires 1–3 years in warehouse inventory control, familiarity with ERP/WMS and Excel, and strong math and analytical skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in logistics or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in warehouse inventory control, materials management, or cycle counting.
  • Familiarity with ERP or WMS systems and proficiency with inventory software and Excel.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; physically able to handle inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cycle counts and support audits to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Investigate discrepancies by analyzing transactions and collaborating with teams.
  • Maintain records of counts, adjustments, and inventory concerns.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Learn material specifications, storage and handling requirements; manage obsolete stock.
  • Support inventory optimization by monitoring slow-moving or excess items.
  • Follow policies to ensure consistent, compliant inventory processes and assist with audits.

What you'll be doing:

As a Cycle Counter at Vanguard Conversion and Fulfillment, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records by conducting scheduled cycle counts, verifying physical stock, and resolving discrepancies. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help ensure inventory integrity, support smooth warehouse operations, and contribute to our commitment to accuracy and customer satisfaction.

  • Inventory Accuracy and Cycle Counting:
    • Conduct regular cycle counts and support audits to ensure accurate inventory levels.
    • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies by analyzing transactions and collaborating with teams.
  • Inventory Control and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of counts, adjustments, and inventory concerns.
    • Identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Product Knowledge and Material Handling:
    • Learn material specifications, storage, and handling requirements; manage obsolete stock.
    • Support inventory optimization by monitoring slow-moving or excess items.
  • Operational Consistency and Compliance:
    • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure consistent, compliant inventory processes.
    • Assist with audits and ensure all counts and adjustments meet standards.
  • Safety and Quality Adherence:
    • Adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental procedures.
    • Identify and report unsafe conditions, proactively preventing operational issues.
  • General Support and Communication:
    • Collaborate with inventory, warehouse, and purchasing teams to maintain accurate records.
    • Communicate findings and process improvement suggestions while supporting assigned tasks.

What we are looking for:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
