Job summary

Vanguard Conversion and Fulfillment (VCF), a GroupeSTAHL company, is seeking a Machine Operator 1 for our Chesterfield, MI facility.

This entry-level position focuses on basic setup, operation, and quality checks to support daily conversion and packaging processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing/warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; occasionally sit, climb or balance; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate entry-level machines according to standard operating procedures.
• Load materials, monitor production output, and make minor adjustments to maintain continuous operation.
• Inspect materials and finished products for obvious defects and notify supervisor of irregularities.
• Maintain clean work area to prevent contamination or damage to materials.
• Follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and participate in safety meetings as required.

What you’ll be doing:

Basic Machine Operation:

• Set up and operate entry‑level machines according to standard operating procedures.

• Ensure materials are labeled, stored, and used appropriately.

Quality Assurance:

• Inspect materials and finished products for obvious defects and notify supervisor of irregularities.
• Perform basic measurements and visual checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Maintain clean work area to prevent contamination or damage to materials.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and report unsafe conditions.
• Comply with operational procedures and quality guidelines.
• Attend training sessions and participate in safety meetings as required.

What we are looking for:
