Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Cyber Operations Analyst Trainer to join our Collective Joint Training (CJT) team in support of the Joint Staff J7 Deputy Directorate Joint Training and Exercises (JS J7 DD JTE) in Suffolk, VA.

This role trains and observes joint and multinational personnel, refining best practices to enhance readiness across diverse exercises and operations. You will be a SME in cyberspace operations, contribute to the DTLD Fires and Effects Section, participate on Deployable Training Teams,

Qualifications

• Active DoW Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for SCI access is required.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 5 years of joint operational experience or specialized training/certifications.
• Deep understanding of at least one functional area noted above, particularly in joint operational planning.
• Familiarity with the commander’s decision cycle and joint staff functions.
• Willing and able to travel internationally, including hazardous duty locations up to 25%.
• Valid U.S. Passport.
• Ability to work on-site in Suffolk, Virginia.
• Joint or service-level planning experience and ability to present complex information to senior leaders.
• Expertise in operational planning, trend analysis, and exercise coordination.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for producing official training documents and reports.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert and trainer in cyberspace operations across joint, multinational, interagency, and globally integrated exercises and operations.
• Integrate into and provide continuity in the DTLD Fires and Effects Section.
• Serve on Deployable Training Teams observing and training leadership and staffs during joint and multinational exercises.
• Identify key command challenges and develop best practices and lessons learned.
• Conduct in-depth research into strategic documents, historical exercises, and real-world operations.
• Analyze staff processes and planning to align phased operational planning with strategic guidance.
• Mentor and support new Observer Trainers and provide continuity within the DTLD.
• Produce detailed after-action reports and joint lessons learned inputs (e.g., FAAR, ESR, CFR, IAAR).
• Contribute to doctrine development and facilitate senior-level seminars including PINNACLE, CAPSTONE, KEYSTONE.
