Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Intern, Information Security Systems Engineer in Greenville, TX. The intern will support the evaluation, design, and protection of enterprise systems and networks, gaining hands-on exposure to cybersecurity engineering practices and secure systems integration.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology/Computer Information Systems with Network Focus or Communications Focus, Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Assist in evaluating security infrastructure and network/system design for security.
Identify risks, threats, and vulnerabilities in networks, systems, applications, and new tech initiatives.
Assist in developing, testing and operating firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus systems and deployment tools.
Help develop policies and procedures for securing system infrastructure and applications.
Support complex assessments and evaluate engineering initiatives for security policies and standards.
Perform product evaluations and recommend security products/services for network protection.
Interact with clients and provide recommendations on information assurance standards and technologies.
