Capital One is seeking a Manager, Cyber Security in McLean, VA to lead the ongoing advancement of cybersecurity capabilities and risk management frameworks. You will partner with stakeholders, synthesize risk insights, and drive automation to improve monitoring, reporting, and remediation processes.

The role requires 5+ years in cybersecurity, experience with CSF and cloud environments, and the ability to present metrics to senior leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
5+ years of cybersecurity or information technology experience.
4+ years evaluating or supporting development of cybersecurity capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead advancement of cybersecurity capabilities and services with stakeholders and CSF-based risk management.
Leverage cybersecurity data from multiple sources to produce insights, risk indicators, and metrics.
Provide expertise during control and risk assessments; ensure remediation plans are tracked to closure.
Drive automation and tooling to streamline monitoring and reporting workflows.
Synthesize cyber-risk insights for senior management and identify risk-reduction opportunities.
Mentor associates to apply cyber-risk methodologies consistently.
