Mission Wealth, a Barron’s Top 100 RIA firm, seeks a hands-on Cybersecurity Specialist in Houston to advance our security program, manage logs, and support audits in a regulated environment.

You will monitor alerts, implement controls with Microsoft security tools, and collaborate with internal teams and the MSP to strengthen our cybersecurity posture. This role emphasizes documentation, incident response, and continuous improvement.

Formación

• 3+ years in cybersecurity, information security, security operations, or a related technical role
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience reviewing security alerts, logs, authentication activity and endpoint events
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Microsoft security technologies such as Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365
• Experience with identity security concepts such as MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access, risky sign-ins, SSO, and access reviews
• Experience with SIEM, centralized logging, audit logging, or security monitoring platforms
• General IT support experience with troubleshooting endpoint, access, Microsoft 365, connectivity issues
• Familiarity with NIST CSF or CIS Controls
• Experience documenting cybersecurity controls, investigations, remediation activity
• Experience with outsourced MSP/MSSP or third-party provider preferred
• Experience in financial services or regulated industry preferred
• Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CISSP, or Microsoft Security certifications are a plus

Responsabilidades

• Support the Senior IT Manager in managing and improving Mission Wealth’s cybersecurity program
• Build, maintain and manage audit logging, monitoring and evidence-tracking processes
• Monitor security alerts, authentication activity, endpoint events and system logs
• Support incident response, vulnerability remediation, access reviews and recurring cybersecurity activities
• Maintain documentation and evidence for cybersecurity controls, audits, assessments and SEC examinations
• Assist with policy, procedure, and runbook documentation for incident response and access management
• Work with Microsoft security tools including Intune, Defender, Entra ID and CA
• Support device compliance and provide endpoint protection monitoring
• Review Entra ID sign-in activity, MFA/Conditional Access events, risky users and privileged access
• Assist with SaaS access reviews, admin role reviews, vendor access reviews, and permission changes
• Track findings, remediation items and reviews through completion
• Maintain dashboards, reports, evidence repositories, findings and remediation materials
• Collaborate with MSPs and security vendors on alerts, patching, and escalations
• Ensure clear ownership between internal tech, MSP and security partners
• Support phishing prevention and security-awareness initiatives
• Provide general tech support to employees as needed
• Identify opportunities to automate security monitoring and reporting
• Work with IT, Compliance, vendors and partners
• Speak up, innovate and streamline processes
• Grow professionally with team support
