Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking Student Assistants for the CIPHER Lab to start Spring 2027. You will collaborate with researchers to build software systems handling very large datasets, applying machine learning and data analysis techniques.

Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, or related field with a 2.5+ GPA, and be registered for at least 6 credits. US citizenship is required due to government contracts, with no clearance needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA
• Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university during working semesters
• Experience with at least one of the following: Java, Python, C languages
• Understanding of software development & design patterns and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Work with researchers to produce high-quality software systems and tools.
• Solve cybersecurity and/or intelligence analysis problems using large datasets.
• Incorporate state-of-the-art machine learning techniques and data analysis algorithms.
