Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Student Assistant for Spring 2027 to contribute to cutting-edge software tools and/or hardware design in microelectronics security. You will explore formal verification, hardware security controls, and FPGA-related work as part of the CIPHER lab.

Applicants should be pursuing a relevant bachelor's degree, be eligible for 6 credit hours, and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Requires US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university during working semesters.
• 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA.

Responsibilities

• Formal verification of cyber-physical systems involving interactive theorem proving and model checking.
• Investigating technologies as they apply to security and trust of microelectronic devices and systems.
• Writing, translating, and coding software programs, applications, tools, and prototypes according to research goals.
• Researching and implementing hardware-assisted technologies for cybersecurity efforts.
• Designing meaningful visualizations of experimental test results and data structures.
• Review, analyze, and validate software and hardware functional designs.
• Additional novel research objectives as instructed.
