Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Software Engineer II – Cybersecurity & Encryption to develop secure software solutions for government and mission-critical programs. You will design cryptographic features, encryption technologies, and secure communications that protect sensitive data and meet strict security requirements.

The role collaborates with software, systems, and security teams, participates in the full software lifecycle, and contributes to DevSecOps, threat modeling, and vulnerability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years in software engineering with a focus on cybersecurity, secure software development, or encryption technologies.
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments and with cryptographic libraries or secure communications.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure software applications supporting mission-critical programs.
• Implement cryptographic algorithms, encryption technologies, and secure communications protocols.
• Develop authentication, authorization, and key management capabilities.
• Perform secure code reviews and remediation to address security risks.
• Support security compliance and document required technical controls.
