Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development and implementation of advanced communications and technology solutions for government and defense programs.

In this role, you will perform requirements development, system architecture, integration, verification and validation across the full program lifecycle, collaborating with hardware, software and systems teams to translate mission needs into scalable, field-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a systems engineering, electrical, aerospace, or computer engineering field.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of systems engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or space programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system and subsystem requirements with full traceability.
• Support architecture, verification planning and validation throughout the program lifecycle.
• Prepare CONOPS, interface documentation, verification plans, and traceability matrices.
• Collaborate across hardware, software and subsystems to ensure integration.
• Contribute to proposal development and technical documentation.
• Support capability development, system integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment activities.
