Job summary

Oceaneering in Houston is offering a paid Summer Internship in the CyberSecurity SOC Engineering group. You will observe day-to-day SOC operations, learn processes, assess operations, and identify opportunities for improvement with guidance from a mentor.

You will gain hands-on exposure to security telemetry, event lifecycles, incident response, escalation, automation, and MDR technologies, culminating in a final presentation of findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, network engineering or related field.
• GPA minimum of 3.0.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Observe day-to-day SOC operations and learn the processes.
• Assess operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Document findings and communicate recommendations to engineers, analysts and leadership.
• Develop and deliver a final presentation summarizing internship observations and opportunities for SOC improvement.
