Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks a Cybersecurity Research Analyst to support KITS and our government customer at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. The role analyzes threats, develops strategic risk reports, and guides leadership with data-driven insights.

Responsibilities include modeling, threat tracking across sources, and producing executive briefings. A TS/SCI eligibility requirement governs candidacy, with on-site support at the Pentagon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in threat intelligence, security research, vulnerability management, or strategic cyber advisory.
• Strong grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS), operating systems (Linux, Windows), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience in federal IT environments, DoD impact levels or FedRAMP authorization environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced mathematical and statistical models to analyze operational, financial, and technical data.
• Investigate emerging threats, CVEs, exploitation techniques, and APT TTPs aligned with MITRE ATT&CK.
• Track cyber adversary behaviors across OSINT sources and security telemetry.
• Translate analytical results into actionable guidance for senior leadership and clients.
