We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive cybersecurity remediation and decisioning for security findings and high-risk business processes.
This role operates at the intersection of Cybersecurity, Engineering, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Product teams. The TPM will coordinate remediation of security findings, ensure findings are of the highest quality, drive risk-based trade-off decisions, and develop reporting mechanisms to continuously track progress. Additionally, the TPM will own the operation of security reviews for high-risk business processes, including developing new workflows and improving existing processes.
The ideal candidate combines strong cybersecurity domain knowledge, technical fluency, dependency management, and enterprise program leadership. This is a hands-on technical program leadership role, not a PMO or status-reporting position.
Critical Qualifications
- 10+ years of Technical Program Management or equivalent technical program leadership experience, preferably within large enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional technology programs involving multiple engineering and cybersecurity teams.
- Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity domains and controls, with the ability to engage effectively with security architects, engineers, and senior leaders.
- Experience coordinating security requirements and dependencies across areas such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), data security, network security, cloud security, application/platform security, vulnerability management, logging/monitoring, and security architecture.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical dependencies, integration points, sequencing, critical paths, risks, and blockers across teams.
- Ability to understand architecture and engineering discussions sufficiently to identify dependencies, challenge assumptions, surface gaps, and recognize technical delivery risks.
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate program health, critical dependencies, risks, decisions, and required actions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate across Cybersecurity, Architecture, Engineering, Infrastructure, Product, and other enterprise teams to align plans and resolve cross-team issues.
- Facilitate technical discussions required to resolve security architecture, integration, dependency, sequencing, and ownership issues.
- Proactively identify gaps, conflicting assumptions, unresolved decisions, and delivery risks before they impact migration milestones.
- Drive teams toward decisions and resolution when ownership or accountability crosses organizational boundaries.
- Maintain clear visibility into critical dependencies, blockers, risks, decisions, milestones, and program health.
- Provide concise executive-level reporting focused on delivery outcomes, risks, dependencies, decisions, and actions rather than activity-based status reporting.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a technically fluent cybersecurity TPM who excels at bringing structure and accountability to complex, cross-organizational initiatives.
They do not need to be a security engineer or architect, but they must understand cybersecurity concepts well enough to participate credibly in technical discussions, recognize security dependencies and risks, ask the right questions, and connect work across security and engineering teams.
Most importantly, this individual must be able to navigate organizational complexity, connect teams and dependencies, remove ambiguity, drive decisions, and relentlessly follow through until critical work is delivered.
