Alaska Power & Telephone Company seeks a Cybersecurity Program Manager to lead and strengthen our cybersecurity program across the organization. You will oversee daily security operations, risk management, and incident readiness while promoting a strong security culture.

The role requires 5+ years IT with 3+ years in cybersecurity, a related bachelor's degree, and relevant certifications. DOE applies to compensation and a robust benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years IT experience with at least 3+ years in cybersecurity.
• Experience with security operations, risk management, incident response, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong communication across teams and departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance cybersecurity policies, controls, and program documentation.
• Monitor and respond to security events while maintaining secure systems.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching, and remediation efforts.
• Oversee identity and access management including MFA and privileged accounts.
• Maintain incident response plans and coordinate recovery readiness.
• Support risk management, vendor security reviews, and audits.
• Collaborate across IT, telecom, and operational systems to ensure infrastructure security.
• Promote employee security awareness and training initiatives.
